If your site supports custom JavaScript and a public JSON file, yes. Your agent can use it with plain HTML or load it in the browser in a framework-based site. It is a small web component with no runtime dependencies.
Do I need an account or API key?
No. The usual setup keeps a reading.json file with your website. Your agent edits it using the access it already has to your project. A private write key is only needed if you choose your own hosted API.
What does “live” mean?
The shelf checks for published changes every 30 seconds while the tab is visible, and when someone returns to it. Hosting caches can add a delay. The turning page means there are current books—not that you’re online or reading at that exact moment.
I already use Goodreads.
You can use the existing read-only public-profile connection instead. Keep updating Goodreads and let the shelf follow. It needs a public profile, can be delayed by Goodreads’ caching, and does not write back to Goodreads.

The shelf and its feed are public, including book notes you choose to add. Keep private notes and credentials out of the feed. Lunelet adds no analytics or sign-in; hosting providers and book-cover services still receive the requests needed to display it.
